Very pretty! I can't wait to try it
Kris:
It's a fun simple pattern.
Immediate, in its gratification.
Enjoy!

I keep losing a stitch on row 4. I've tried 3 times and I can't see where I'm going wrong. Any ideas?

Could it be that you're adding an extra k2tog at the end?

nope, I was forgetting the last yo!!
I don't think I'm going to get 64" out of one skein of yarn though
I'm glad it's straightened out.
As for scarf length - I don't know what yarn you're using, but one skein of Suri Merino (BSA) got me quite far...with tassels, too.
I did block it though, so that helped.
I'm definitely not going to get 64" with one skein. I'm over half-way through the skein, and only at 17".
Maybe all skeins are not equal?
